By: Anya Turner Hey everyone! Today, I want to talk about the amazing Rock Solid Christian Academy retreat in Larkspur, Colorado. We left for Larkspur immediately after school. When we arrived at the retreat center, we all joined in for an outdoor scavenger hunt. Shortly after the scavenger hunt, we walked to the dining hall and ate lunch. Once we ate lunch, we began unpacking our things and familiarized ourselves with the camp. Then, we had a short devotion. After the devotion, we went on an extraordinary night hike where we experienced steep inclines and declines. Then, we played black- light dodgeball until bedtime.
The next morning, we did a high ropes course followed by a leisurely breakfast. After everyone finished breakfast, we had the option to go on a day hike or play games. I chose the day hike. On the day hike, there was a lot of plant life and beautiful rolling hills. That day, we also had a devotion which was very uplifting. Very soon after the devotion, we did our community service work. Our work entailed moving rocks from one location to another as directed by the camp staff. After the community service work was finished, we drove back to the school to be picked up by our parents. This was such an amazing experience and I hope we do it again.
